MEDICAL EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

Brighton Rugby First Aid Emergency Action Plan

In an Emergency dial 999 and ask for Ambulance. Direct them to Brighton Rugby, Waterhall, BN1 8YR.

What Three Words:

Clubhouse – ///vocal.glass.pies
Ambulance Pitch Access - ///eagle.expert.suffer

The white posts at both ends of the 1st XV pitch open to allow Ambulance access to all areas of the ground.

DO NOT USE the tracks either side of the ATP as they are uneven and dangerous for injured players.

DO NOT USE STRETCHERS, SPINAL BOARDS OR EQUIPMENT UNLESS TRAINED TO DO SO.

FIRST AIDERS
All First Aiders on duty should wear at least one glove at all times (applying the second glove when needed), a hi-vis jacket and carry their First Aid Bag.

This is to ensure that they are prepared to administer FA and are easily identifiable.

Do not remove injured players from the PITCH if you suspect a Break/Fracture or a SPINAL INJURY. IMMOBILISE the casualty and call 999.
