Goes Live June 1st 2024

Dear Brighton Blue

As we continue to develop our club facilities and improve our reach within the Community, we have finally come to a decision as a committee to start the process of charging for parking at Waterhall. As a rugby club we are not unique in doing this as our fellow clubs in the Senior Leagues all charge quite substantial amounts of money to use parking facilities that are not as good as ours. Our fee for parking at Waterhall is going to be £2.50 all day or £1.00 after 4pm. The money collected from the parking will go back in to maintaining our infrastructure including the car park. The money will be spent on signage, stone replacement, and also any damaged areas.

As a member of Brighton Football Club (RFU) we will not start charging anyone who is a paid-up member until 1st September 2024. A one-off fee will be added to your membership and this will allow two cars per household the ability to park without further cost for an entire year. In policing this change we have asked that you register your car or cars with your team coach or the Chairman as soon as possible. This way, once membership comes round again, we will associate your membership with a membership number, and this will then be linked to your car registrations. If you have given either your coach or myself your registration numbers, there is nothing to worry about. The cost will be £20 per household for a years’ worth of parking for 2 cars 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025 which will be added to membership next season.

The system was installed on the 26th March 2024. Thus, we need your registration numbers as soon as possible so that we can void any parking tickets being issued to your registration number. The information we need is to be fed back to your coaches who will pass it all back to me in order to get the parking company up to date with who is allowed entry. Note the system will be live by the 1st June 2024. If you are a group who uses the ATP, or club for dog walking please contact the chairman, details below.

1. Surname (s)
2. Name (s)
3. Car Registration 1
4. Car registration 2
5. Player or players associated with the lead name (s) (this is a M&Y item so that parents are the registered car owner, and we can identify players to parents)
