It is with much sadness that we are sharing the news that David Lowrie has died of a heart attack whilst riding his bicycle.

Dave was our Under 11 Team Manager and a long standing Club member since the 70s who injected terrific enerergy to everything he did. He will be remembered for many things but above all his unquestionable enthusiasm and commitment supporting not only his son's age group but the entire Club. Only recently he organised the 'Big Top Festival ' as well as an Away Day Coach trip to Twickenham for the Harlequins 'Big Game' raising much needed funds for the Club and giving many young players and their families happy memories.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Friday 21st June in St Cenau Church , Llangenny, Powys, N8 1HE followed by the wake in the family pub The Dragons Head Inn, Llangenny, Powys, NP8 1HD.

The family has asked that people do not send or bring flowers but as David had been preparing for the London to Brighton Bike Ride that donations are made to the Bike ride's sponsor the British Heart Foundation via his dedicated 'gift for hope' page. https://giftofhope.bhf.org.uk/In-Memory/David-John-Lowrie

As the village church and pub are small the family have asked that people notify them if they are able to attend [please RSVP to brightonblues0203@gmail.com ], for catering numbers. The nearest place for suitable accommodation would be Crickhowell. Our thoughts are with David's family at this sad time, especially his wife, Olga, daughter, Claudia and young son, James.
