So the season finally ends with our End Of Season awards dinner at The Bali Brassiere last Night. As always it was a superb evening and although the move to the end of May meant that several of the regulars were on holiday we still had over 50 in attendance and were joined by several more later in the evening.

AWARD WINNERS:

Best Try of Season :- Nick Wood

Nick just won this from Alberto Dotta with Sam Howse, Stuart Cooper and David Bush also in the running. Nick's try was his first in a few years and was scored against the only team to beat us, Barns Green.

Top Try Scorer :- George Whiting

George won this by one try from Chris Canneaux with the result only being decided in the last game as George got a hat trick of tries against Hastings in the Sussex Salver final.

Best New Player :- Terry Falk

Terry won this award by one vote from Dan Harrison. Also getting mentioned were Tom Mahoney, Myles Ball, Stuart Cooper and Ben Potter.

Player of The Season :- Chris Canneaux and Ken Iizuka

This award ended up in a tie between Chris and Ken with several other players in the chase including Terry Falk, Ben Potter, Steve Pollard and George Whiting.

RAFFLE:

The raffle on behalf of The Marlets Hospice was, as usual, a great success, and when I have contacted all the prize winners who were not at the event and collected all the pledges in, I will announce the total amount that was raised.
