On 14 April in Budva,, it is Slovakia who can celebrate as Champions of the 2015 European Nations Cup Division 3 Tournament after a solid 31-3 defeat of Hosts Montenegro at Mogren Stadium.
In an edgy and very physical encounter, Slovakia; clinical and composed throughout, led 19-0 at the break with tries from Polenda, Mudrik and Douezi. The extras coming from the boot of impressive stand off, Martin Vesely.

The second half proved a tighter affair and certainly no less physical as the Montenegrins worked hard to get back into the game with tight head Luka Lucic and lock Nikola Vuletic leading the charge The Slovak ruck defence remained resolute. The Slovak backs had also done their homework and when the ball did reach the Montenegrin backs, Slovakia’s rush defence often nullified Montenegro’s centre pairing of Adzic and Vucicevic who had been so effective against Estonia last Saturday.

Second half tries from Slovakia’s Sebastian Nase and another late on from Martin Mihalik sealed the title for 2015 though huge credit must go to the Montenegro team who showed huge heart to battle from the first to the last minute.
