Alex Finch etched his name in Brighton Football Club (RFU) history this weekend by scoring 17 points to take him past the 2,000 point milestone.

The Blues beat Chiswick 37 – 11 in a fantastic team performance with the 29 year old fullback scoring a try, three conversions and two penalties.

Since formal records began in 2008 ‘the Neil McGovern era’ the club has seen a rise from Sussex One to London One South. Throughout this time Finch has been accompanied by many outstanding players allowing him to contribute 2,005 points in 174 appearances, averaging 11 points a game.

Tries from Maxx Morris (19), Louie Salmon (21), Charlie Francis (22) and débutante Ryan Irvine (24) highlight the wealth of talent coming through the ranks of The Blues. This is an exciting time for the club with sights set on National League Rugby and the 150th anniversary coming in 2018.
