Eastbourne had their full 23 man squad available whilst the Blues had 15 players to host the Blue and Gold hoops in a tough encounter at Waterhall. The Blues powerful running and attacking mindset paid dividends, although there is work to do in the tackle area and keeping ball in hand.

Special mentions to Harrison and Sam who have recently joined the Blues and it was good to see Jonathan making a nuisance of himself around the opposition 9 & 10. Tom on the wing tackled most things that moved and had a great game.

Blues had 17 players out with various commitments from school rugby the day before and attendance at RWC games. With a further 5 recovering from injury, it is a credit to the 15 players from the squad who stood up and were counted.

Fielding 2 x teams this season isn't going to be easy but with the commitment shown on Sunday there is room to do well in both leagues.
