On a very busy weekend at the club the U12s played host to Lewes in the 3rd of their waterfall league matches.

In complete contrast to the start of the season we had a full team with subs. It was great to see the new recruits lining up with the original players.

The weather played its part in the proceedings by getting kick off moved forward an hour and being bumped from the 1st team pitch to the ATP.

Both teams arrived at 09:00 and warmed up ready for a 10:00 kick off.
The 1st half Brighton had the upper hand with possession and territory partly due to the excellent hooking of Theo winning at least 6 scrums against the head but due to handling errors failed to trouble the scoreboard. It was hard fort and very exciting on both sides.
After half time and the substitutions had been made the game started much as it had finished until Lewes broke through and scored a try, unfortunately quickly followed by a 2nd.
This seemed to spur the Blues in to life and the boys dug deep and turned the tide running in 4 tries before the final whistle.

This was a great test of the new team and they came through the test with flying colours. We'll played all.

I believe this team will grow and move on to bigger and better things
